Get Tall for Animals Progression Guide: How the Loop Connects
The full Get Tall for Animals progression loop: eating builds Grow Value, longer legs open the sky islands, stolen eggs hatch into animals, and animals fund the upgrades that speed up the next run.
The progression loop, in one chain
Get Tall for Animals runs on a single dependency chain, and the developer states every link of it on the game page: eat to increase your Grow Value, grow your legs to reach the sky islands, steal eggs from the Guards, hatch eggs to discover animals, earn cash from your animals (also while offline), upgrade your Pen, Burger & Trail, and chase rare size, mutation and Divine eggs.
In play, that circle looks like this:
eat → Grow Value rises → legs grow longer → higher layers open → steal Guard eggs → hatch animals → animals add power and cash (even offline) → cash buys Burger, Pen and Trail upgrades → you eat and grow faster and reach better eggs → repeat
Everything else in this guide is one segment of that circle. Codes can add extra rewards on top of the loop — the codes page tracks those separately.

Height: how Grow Value opens the world
- Eating is the only growth input. Hamburgers raise your Grow Value, and Grow Value is what makes your legs longer. One naming note: the developer calls the resource Grow Value, while the one available gameplay video's counter reads "power" — no source shows both labels on the same screen, but the behavior matches (eating raises it, and it decides whether gates open), so treat them as the same height resource.
- Gates are visible and per-player. Progress is not hidden behind an abstract stat: the video shows locked doors, numbered floors, and signs listing a required figure. After a player eats enough, a previously shut door simply opens — floor 2 is reached exactly this way. In one exchange, one player crossed into the icy white land while a companion fell just short of the same climb, so the check is on your own height, not anyone else's.
- The world stacks upward. The video's climb order: starting area → floor 2 → a beach and shark sea → an icy white-land mountain of mammoths → a savanna with lions, gorillas, kangaroos and ostriches → the heaven layer. That ladder is what the developer's "sky islands" promise looks like from the ground, and guarded animals and their eggs sit on the upper layers — which is why height gates the good collection targets.
What the gate signs say — and why to double-check
No official table of gate values exists. A single gameplay video reads the signs as: 100 for stage 2, 400 for the stage-3 beach, 1,000 for the mountain gate, and roughly 6,500,500 on the final gate before the heaven layer — which the players themselves clarify is required power, not a character level. Those are one session's screen readings: they can be misread, and they can change whenever the world or progression is rebalanced. Read the sign in front of you rather than trusting a memorized list. For the underlying controls, see how to grow taller and the Grow Value breakdown; the layers themselves are covered on the sky islands page.
Eggs: turning height into animals
Once a layer opens, its eggs become your next goals. The video shows the whole procedure:
- Find an egg on a layer with guarded animals and pick it up. The owner immediately gives chase, and a red boundary line marks where its patience ends — don't cross it.
- Break the chase by reaching a spot where the guard stops following. The shark only pursues inside its water, and the players also waited out a dinosaur until it wandered into a waterfall before taking its egg.
- Carry the egg home and place it at your house.
- Wait the timer shown on the egg. Early animals pop out in about a minute; rarer ones take far longer (samples below).
- Collect the animal into your pen. It starts adding power and earning cash right away — and the developer confirms the cash keeps flowing while you're offline.
The detailed escape routes are on how to steal eggs, with spawn points on the egg locations page and hatching mechanics on how to hatch eggs.
What one session's eggs produced
All figures below are spoken readings from that one video — a sample, not official values:
| Animal | Hatch time shown | Output read on screen | Context |
|---|---|---|---|
| Giant rabbit | ~1 minute | ~149 power per second | First egg, placed at home |
| Parrot | not shown | 12 | Floor 2 |
| Crab | not shown | ~1,300 total power — less than a jellyfish | Beach/shark sea |
| Jellyfish | ~3 minutes | High power; the session's rarest find (Cosmic) | Shark sea |
| Dinosaur (George) | hatched sooner than expected | 1,600 power (1,000 + 600) | Mid layers |
| Llama | ~3 minutes (one earlier reading said 25 seconds) | Heavy cash producer | Carried home mid-chase |
| Polar bear | ~30 minutes | 70,000 (Mythic) | Icy mammoth mountain |
| Goat | not shown | 20,000 | Another player's pen |
| Megalodon shark | ~1 hour | 400,000 | Shark sea |
| Ostrich | ~10 seconds left when checked | 800 power — less than a jellyfish | Savanna |
Two extras from the same session: special eggs hatch stronger variants — the giant rare jellyfish egg read as 1,000 + 600 power and 4 kg + 6 weight on screen — and some animals can be summoned directly from a menu button once unlocked; the video's summoned cola paid 217 cash when placed. On rarity: the video displays tiers above animals (Epic, Mythic Legendary, Cosmic), while the developer separately names rare size, mutation and Divine eggs — no source maps the two naming schemes onto each other. The egg list, Divine egg, cosmic egg, rare sizes and full animal list pages go deeper per creature.
Cash and upgrades: closing the loop
- Animals pay continuously, including offline — confirmed by the developer — but the exact rate isn't documented anywhere in the available material.
- Burger upgrades are the pacing lever. The video shows a level 3 → 4 purchase making the player eat more and faster — and therefore grow faster — with burger tiers stacking at least ten deep. Whenever a gate refuses to open, the players' standard answer is "buy the next burger tier," then eat back up to the threshold.
- The pen/house upgrade pays back in power. One purchase priced in the millions (a video reading, not a stable price) left the base with a silver fence, and the players reckoned their power gain had roughly doubled.
- Trail is the open question. The developer lists PEN, BURGER and TRAIL as the upgrade tracks, but nothing in the available sources says what Trail does or costs — treat any specific claim about it as unverified. The best upgrades page tracks what's known.
- Free progression support exists on screen: a book-icon side menu hands out claimable rewards and level-ups.
That last upgrade purchase is what pushes you to the next gate, where better eggs wait — which is the loop closing. For income specifics, see animal income and how to get cash fast; for raw height speed, see grow tall fast.
Where to go next
Match your stuck step to the narrow guide for it:
- Can't reach the next layer → how to grow taller or Grow Value
- Keep losing eggs to Guards → how to steal eggs
- Deciding what to hatch or where to look → egg list and egg locations
- Funding the next upgrade → how to get cash fast
If you're still on day one, the beginner guide covers the first-session checklist this systems overview deliberately skips.
